Terms of Service

Last updated: July 7, 2026

The short version: SnipSmart is an educational companion, not a doctor. Be 18 or older, keep your own clinician in the loop, and remember your data lives on your phone, so it is yours to back up. The details follow.

1. Agreeing to these terms

These Terms of Service ("terms") are an agreement between you and ArchnaCode LLC, a Missouri (United States) limited liability company doing business as SnipSmart ("SnipSmart," "we," "us"), covering the SnipSmart mobile app on iOS and Android and this website, snip-smart.com (together, the "service"). By using the service you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

You must be at least 18 years old to use SnipSmart. The app confirms this on first run.

2. What SnipSmart is, and what it is not

SnipSmart is an educational and organizational companion for men considering, preparing for, or recovering from a vasectomy. It offers general information, planning tools, reminders, and self-tracking.

SnipSmart is not a medical service. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, it is not a medical device, and using it does not create a doctor-patient relationship with anyone. Content in the app and on this site is general information, prepared carefully against published clinical guidance, but it cannot account for your individual situation. Always rely on your own licensed clinician for medical decisions, including whether a vasectomy is right for you, how to prepare, and how your recovery is going.

If something feels wrong during your recovery, contact your clinic. If it is an emergency, call your local emergency number. Never delay seeking medical care because of something the app did or did not tell you.

3. Your data and your responsibilities

Everything you log in SnipSmart (dates, check-ins, notes, progress) is stored only on your device; we never receive it. That design has a flip side: you are responsible for your own copy. If you delete the app or use "Start over" without exporting first, or lose a device that was never backed up, that data is gone and we cannot recover it, because we never had it. The app provides export tools, and your phone's own backup (iCloud or Google) can carry the data to a new device.

Reminders and notifications are a convenience, not a guarantee. Do not rely on them for anything critical, medication timing included; follow your clinic's instructions.

4. License and acceptable use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own non-commercial use, subject to these terms and the rules of the app store you got it from.

You agree not to misuse the service: no reverse engineering or circumventing technical protections except where the law allows it, no scraping at a scale that burdens the service, no interfering with its operation or security, no using it to break the law, and no reselling or redistributing it.

5. Content and intellectual property

The service, including its articles, design, name, logo, and the Snip-o-Meter, belongs to SnipSmart or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. You may read, link to, and share our articles freely for personal, non-commercial purposes with attribution. Nothing here transfers ownership to you.

6. Affiliate links and third parties

As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. The Essentials section of the app suggests recovery items through affiliate links; if you buy through them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Which items you see is computed on your device; your profile is never sent to Amazon or any advertiser.

Links that leave the service (retailers, sources, social platforms) go to sites we do not control and are governed by those sites' own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party sites, products, or services, including items bought through affiliate links; product safety and suitability are between you, the retailer, and the manufacturer.

7. The service changes

SnipSmart is actively developed. Features may change, be added, or be removed, and content is updated as guidance evolves. We may update, suspend, or discontinue the service (or any part of it) at any time. Because your data lives on your device, discontinuing the service would not delete your data, but online-delivered content and analytics would stop.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content is complete or current. Section 2's medical disclaimer is part of these terms.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, SnipSmart and its maker will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss of data, arising from or related to your use of the service. To the same extent, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of fifty US dollars ($50) or the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold SnipSmart harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the service or your violation of these terms.

11. App store terms

The app is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play, whose own terms also apply. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms, have no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app, and are not responsible for addressing claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms with respect to the iOS app and may enforce them against you.

12. Termination

You can stop using the service at any time; deleting the app removes it and its on-device data. We may suspend or terminate your access to the service if you materially breach these terms. Sections 2, 3, and 5 through 10 survive termination.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Missouri, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at contact@snip-smart.com and give us 30 days to work it out informally; most things can be.

14. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update the date above and, for material changes, provide clear notice in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
